ttu® created the Studio TU® Fine Bone China brand in 2006 to fill a huge need in the marketplace. Up till then, bone china, the premier material for dinnerware, was considered a luxury item. Passionately collected and universally admired, bone china was served only on formal or special occasions, but was considered too expensive for many budgets.
To the delight of consumers and retailers, Studio TU® changed all of that. Redefining bone china for the 21st century, Studio TU began designing and manufacturing high quality fine bone china for everyday dining at everyday prices. Studio TU recently added Fine Porcelain and Durable Porcelain Collections – giving customers even more ways to bring elegance into their lives at incredible values.
Studio TU® Fine Bone China
Dinnerware’s premier material. Studio TU Fine Bone China is ultra hard, ultra thin and ultra light, as well as translucent. To create the ultra thin body, our Fine Bone China is high-fired at 2,300°F for 18 hours, maximizing moisture removal for a thinner and stronger bone china. This creates a hard, chip-resistant vitrified surface impermeable to moisture, odors and colors.
Studio TU® Fine Porcelain
Fine Porcelain is vitrified porcelain that is high-fired until nearly all water content has been evaporated – creating a seal impermeable to moisture, odors and colors, while making it stronger and highly resilient. Fine Porcelain can be shaped into extra large serving pieces, as well as achieve a more intricate level of texture and detailed definition than bone china.
Studio TU® Durable Porcelain
Durable Porcelain is specially reformulated porcelain with added quality ingredients. It is stronger and harder than bone china and regular porcelain, thinner than regular porcelain, and achieves maximum value on the whiteness scale.
